Men's Skincare, anti-aging for men, shaving, I break it all down with these 5 most critical things men need to do to get the results they are looking for and put their best face forward to the world.

What do men need to do to keep their skin looking good? For men most of the time, their skincare goal is just look healthy and good for their age.  Men's skincare is typically different in the sense that most men aren't looking for a line-less super-smooth look that women tend to strive for.  The expression lines on our faces are what make us handsome and to completely remove them gives a feminizing appearance.  So for men, simply taking good care of their skin and exercising regularly will be all they need to be the best versions of themselves.

1: Men need to put moisture on their face too. The difference between someone who puts moisture on their face after washing it vs. someone who doesn’t is striking.  Putting a moisturizing oil on your skin after washing twice a day will quickly soften and smooth even the most rugged face. I suggest for men using Unscented Awakening in the morning and Unscented Repose at night.

2: Men need to wear sunscreen too. The harmful UV rays of the sun don’t discriminate. Skin cancer rates for men are disproportionately higher because men hold more in outdoor jobs, and typically wear less sunscreen if at all. Many women’s products also have spf factor in them already, but for men it’s critical to put a mineral sunscreen product with a high spf on your face, neck, and ears every day. There is not a single thing you can do that will have a bigger effect on the aging of your skin than protecting it from the sun. All the anti-aging treatments in the world cannot pale in comparison to preventing UV damage.

3: Ditch the foaming cleanser, and shaving foam. Stop stripping your skin’s moisture barrier, it throws it all out of balance and can cause premature aging, acne, blackheads, and either over or under-production of moisture. Swap out foaming cleanser with a cream cleanser, and shaving foam with a gentle cream. Witch hazel wipes off the residue of oil and product off your skin at the end of the day, before washing, so when you use a cream cleanser you can penetrate beneath that residue layer.

4: Rosewater is the GOAT skin and hair tonic. Splash a little on your face after cleansing and you will quickly see why you need this magic elixir in your life forever. The byproduct of distilling rose petals into perfume oil is packed with potent anti-aging and acne-fighting qualities and instantly brings your skin’s ph back into perfect balance after being wet.

5: Do a Bentonite Clay mask once a week: Bentonite clay is so powerful, and it’s not only an anti-aging, skin smoothing superstar, but it heals ingrown hairs , fights acne, tightens the skin, and works anywhere from head to toe. Do this once a week, and in a couple of weeks you will see a huge difference in the way your skin catches the light and softness.

So my main advice is that as a guy, you don't need to go overboard with your skincare routine to get really good noticeable results.  Also, I strongly urge men who want to turn back the clock and look younger to stay away from injectables and surgical procedures.  By and large, they were mostly designed for women, and rarely do they look right on men.  Take good care of your skin, get a good haircut, whiten your teeth, lose weight if need be, and exercise regularly and you'll see a vast improvement in your looks but still look like yourself.  For younger guys, the best thing you can do for yourselves is find a sunscreen that you like enough to put on every single morning, an ounce of prevention is worth a ton of cure in my opinion.
