Grateful Desert Ocotillos (Fouquieria splendens) in the Anza Borrego Desert are blooming and thriving after a wet winter. Let’s watch these beautiful, sculptural plants renew and regenerate throughout the desert spring.
Ocotillos are one of the most unique and dramatic plant species in the desert, going from dormant grey branches to bursting with life, full of green leaves and massive red blossoms punctuating the blue desert sky. Join me as I return week after week to my favorite ocotillo grove in the Anza Borrego Desert State Park from beginning to end of the glorious desert spring.
Hiking in the crystal clear, fresh air of the desert is one of my favorite pastimes of all, so I’m thrilled for you to be able to join me. Please enjoy my newest video: Grateful Desert Ocotillos.
All the best,
