It’s been a supremely beautiful holiday season here in the California Desert, with wild winter weather, great food, and a siphon’s draw or two of fine spirits. Desert mountain panoramas and time lapses are one of my favorite video subjects. Beyond light and shadow, we are adding the element of time to the composition. This give us a chance to observe the gentle caresses of light and shadow as time passes. Here in the Southern California desert, we are spoiled for beautiful panoramic vistas. Resiliency and adaptation are so important right now, it’s imperative that we adapt and build on what we have learned in the last year and a half going forward. Otherwise it’s the path of least resistance to just give up on critical self-care activities like exercise, meditation, skincare, grooming, getting proper sleep, maintaining a healthy weight through a nutritious diet, and enjoying alcohol in moderation.
