Criollo Solid Fragrance: pronounced “Cree-O-Yo,” this product is formulated as a solid fragrance because the grapeseed oil and unfrefined beeswax base allows the fragrance to blend with the skin and emanate a rich, animalic, woody scent. As opposed to a traditional denatured alcohol base, this product is designed to hydrate the skin, and keep the fragrance oils from evaporating.

Natural Fragrance in a Solid Unrefined Beeswax and Grapeseed Oil base.

Why I created this product:

I wanted a fragrance that I could wear on my skin, that combined the richness of tobacco leaf with crisp, spicy evergreens, and the sweet, leathery, skin-like warmth of French amber. The purpose was to create a fragrance that would blend with my skin’s own natural pheromones and would be enjoyed by those in close physical proximity.

Storage:

Criollo solid fragrance is made without preservatives or stabilizers so it is important to keep it in a cool, dry place. At a temperature over 90 degrees Criollo will begin to soften and become liquid, nor should it be exposed to extreme cold temperatures. My recommended temperature range that it should be kept within is between 50 and 90 degrees Fahrenheit. If Criollo has been exposed to heat and has become liquid, it will not diminish its effectiveness and will harden again once in a cooler temperature. Likewise if it has has hardened in the cold, it will soften again once back inside a warm space. At room temperature Criollo has the consistency of refrigerated butter, solid but soft enough to press a finger into it.
