 Rosewater Natural Anti-Aging Miracle

Bulgarian Rosewater:

Bulgarian Damask Rosewater is packed with anti-aging, skin-cell renewing, complexion brightening, antibacterial, and ph-balancing qualities. It is a powerhouse elixir fit for daily use and has a fruity, apple-like scent.

Why I offer this product:

The skin’s natural ph is different than water, and when the skin starts to dry after cleansing, this ph difference can cause the oil glands to either over- or under-produce, often leading to blemishes or clogged pores (over-producing), or a tight-feeling face (under-producing).

When rosewater is applied after cleansing, the skin’s ph is changed to a slightly acidic level and creates an environment that is not hospitable to bacteria and prepares the skin to absorb moisture when it is applied next. When you apply moisturizers or other treatment products onto skin that is moist with rosewater, you are applying the moisture to the skin in its most ready state to receive it.

Bulgarian Rosewater is my every-day rosewater that I use twice a day, and sometimes to refresh my skin on a hot day. It’s something that is an essential product to have in the house and if for some reason I stop using it for a few days I notice dullness in my skin that brightens up as soon as I go back to using rosewater.

Directions:

Face: Twice a day after cleansing and before moisturizing wipe entire face with a cotton pad soaked in rosewater, or mist lightly over face, avoiding the eyes. Rosewater is a perfect, gentle aftershave tonic to soothe irritation and prevent infected hair follicles. Can be used to set powder foundation.
Hair: Rinse hair with rosewater after bathing.  Mist on hair while wet and before applying styling products
Body: Use as body mist after bathing and before moisturizing. Apply to soothe and heal ingrown hairs and hair removal irritation.

Indian Rosewater vs. Bulgarian Rosewater

The differences between Indian and Bulgarian Rosewater are the fragrance and grade of roses the rosewater is produced from. Rosewater is produced when steam distilling rose absolute or essential oil. Indian Rosewater is distilled from Damascene roses used for perfume-grade damask rose absolute. The scent is very true to how an heirloom rose smells in full bloom, bright and berry-like. Bulgarian Rosewater is distilled from the Kazanlak variety of damask rose and is more of an apothecary grade of rose. The aroma is apple-like and fruity, rather than floral. Besides the fragrance and price there is no difference in the effectiveness of either variety. I use Bulgarian Rosewater twice daily and sometimes more often, and use the Indian Rosewater for a special treat.

Storage

Keep in the refrigerator with the cap tightly closed for the longest shelf life, approximately 8-12 months.   Bulgarian rosewater will be stable for a week or two at room temperature, so what I do is keep a 16oz bottle in the refrigerator and dispense an ounce or two at a time into a spray bottle and also a 8oz bottle with a pump dispenser to use after cleansing. That way I can use every ounce of my rosewater at its freshest and most effective.
